Andrew’s tip – I want more attitude and a cocky edge.
Judges’ comments:
Jason – Just listen to the crowd, that says it all…. Cool, calm and came out fighting. You were in control.
Melanie C – tough and on top
Dawn – (in bad Geordie accent) Aamazing but you can look a bit too stern, not a good look for Jesus
ALW – Fantastic voice, you will go a very long way in this competition.

Andrew’s Tip: Take the words and sing them exactly as they are written.
Judges’ comments:
Dawn – you have a fantastic ability to make it look easy which I know it isn’t. You rock.
Jason – They saved the best to last. You inhabit the song. You have a long way to go on this particular competition.
Melanie C – Such a pleasure to watch.
ALW – An outstanding performance. You sold it fantastically. You were tremendous tonight once again.

Andrew Tip: You have to have the confidence to sell a song.

Melanie C – Little bit shaky but once you got going you were strong.
Jason – Didn’t think that song suited you. A little pitchy.
Dawn – You gave yourself permission to come alive.
ALW – You did very well. I am very glad you are on the show.

Andrew Tip: You need to be able to act and to tell the story.

Jason – Wanted a little bit more passion.
Dawn – Admired your chutzpah. You really pulled that change of melody off and the camera really loves you.
ALW – You did very well. I think you will grow as we go on. You need to let it out now.

Andrew’s Tip: worry about the sense of the words.
Judges’ comments:
Melanie C – I believed every single word. Very courageous and intimate.
Dawn – Totally carried that off. I saw you feeling that. Incredibly endearing.
Jason – Great tone, honest, from the heart. I enjoyed it because you did.
ALW – You lost the Butlins completely. You told the story and you sang it beautifully.

Andrew’s Tip: He wants to see a more vulnerable side.
Judges’ comments:
Melanie C – Always an incredible vocal. Very confident performance.
Dawn – Mesmerising, good strutting. Extraordinary pouting. Be real and true to yourself.
Jason – vocals always strong, be careful between confidence and cocky.
ALW – you do your rock voice superbly

Jason – There was some control issues with the vocals. You need to connect with the lyrics.
Melanie C – Your personality shone through a lot more tonight.
Dawn – Open, fresh performer. You are like human sunshine.
ALW – I would love you to come out of your shell a bit more.

Dawn – Very powerful, solid performer. Song perhaps not a good fit.
Melanie C – Soulful, but a natural edge. Don’t try too hard to be rocky.
Jason – It’s all there. Hard to fault.
ALW – Really extraordinary voice. Would be intriguing to see you play Jesus.

Jason - you are a rock star. I want to be in your club. Perhaps be a bit sexier?
Melanie C – You can sing anything. A natural performer, I want to see your emotional side
Dawn - a real powerhouse. Looking forward to seeing more of you.
ALW – You are a Superstar

Dawn – A significant contender in this competition. Listen to the audience and believe.
Mel C – Very brave performance, a few pitchy moments.
Jason – Energy of the audience lifted you, believe in yourself and you will go a long way.
ALW – You connected with the material, you got it right and I think you will go a long way.
