Hello everyone and welcome to my second blog for Jesus Christ Superstar. So much has been happening this past week, and everyone in the JCS camp is getting very excited indeed.
Today we were all called to rehearsal as usual to work through the show – or so we thought!
The morning saw the whole cast work ‘The temple’ scene which is crazy. We then broke for lunch. Whilst on our lunch break we all noticed a heightened atmosphere in the camp. Different cars kept dropping different people off, culminating in the Lord himself, Andrew Lloyd Webber, who pulled up in a car right outside the rehearsal studio!
It was then made known to us that we would be doing a full run through of the show from start to finish without stopping. We had never done this before, and to realise that we had to do it for the first time in front of the composer, was somewhat nerve-wracking to say the least.
We got focused and ran through the whole show. To say we were all dripping with sweat at the end of it all is an understatement. It was such a good feeling running the whole thing without stopping so and it was brilliant to get a real feel of how each scene flows into another. The cast are all so amazing and everyone did such a good job. It was a credit to the creative team who have been working so patiently with us on this wonderful masterpiece.
Don’t forget, I will be happy to answer any questions about the cast or rehearsals, don’t hesitate to ask.
I will be back soon with another update from the JCS rehearsals.
Thanks,
Ryan xx

Hello
I am a music teacher at St Thomas Aquinas RC Glasgow, we have a number of talented pupils who are hoping to peruse a career in musical theatre. They have all performed in school shows, youth theatre shows and even as extras in televised productions. Would it be possible for a few of our pupils to meet with yourself or anyone from the cast who could offer them tips and advice on their chosen career? We understand you must have an incredibly busy schedule but pupils would relish the opportunity to meet professionals and regard it as an unforgettable and worthwhile experience.
Thanks
Monica Morrison
