OMG!!!!!
Went to the show last night and was absolutely blown away .What a brilliant ,brilliant night.best show ever seen, just so moving,
When can we expect the DVD of this tour so that I can relive it again?
This version is absolutely amazing saw it Sunday night at 02. Was 12 years old when I saw the first version and was so excited to see the 2012. Love the fact that the Director has made it so current to this time. Fantastic cast. Would see it again and again. BRILLIANT well done x
Saw the Saturday Matinee at the o2 and felt like I was watching a rehersal, the show started 35 minutes late and stopped in the second half for 10 minutes due to a technical hitch, felt sorry for the cast as they ran off the stage and was not what you would expect from an Andrew Lloyd Webber production. The show was held together by Tim Minchin who was brilliant and the comedy element from Chris Moyles was very much welcomed.
Was disappointed because where we seated 408, was unable to see top part of performers heads. The lighting gantry blocked our view of back screen, also side screens were not working .
Just back from Glasgow and a marvellous production. I have seen many shows, pop concerts all over the world but this was ome thing else. I was blown away with the music nd stars of the show. Andrew Lloyd Webber you are Z master and never disappoint. It was wonderful to see you at the end and I really hope you bring the show back to town very soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience tonight that I will cherish for many years. Good luck with the other tour dates xxx
Was at the SECC in Glasgow last night (25TH)-as I hoped and expected the show was fantastic– many ,many congrats to ALL concerned. Only thing was that I could just hear the show – not see it – fault of the Seating arrangements – a matter I will take up with them.
Enjoy the rest of the tour.
Went to the Sunday evening performance with friends. Amazing. I have never seen a performance like the one Ben gave in the scene from the garden of Gethsemane where He is agonizing over the task before him. You felt the agony. Well done Ben. We have decided we must see it again. A powerful message indeed.
Thank you.
Was working at Glasgow SECC doing security with G4s on Wed 26/09/2012 at the show and I was lucky enough to watch the show from the start.I want to say a BIG thank you to Chris Moyles who after he done his part onstage came around to were I was standing and sat down in the section of the arena that I was positioned at which was blocked off and he said hello to me,was rather chuffed that I got see the show and actually meet Chris Moyles.Great show from start to finish, well done to everyone involved from production staff to the main stars.
I was at Glasgow on Tuesday night just wanted to say how fantastic it was.Everyone in the cast were amazing,Mel C solo was so moving.
Any plans to release a CD with the arena tour cast

Saw the show at Glasgow SECC and it completely exceeded all expecations. Ben is fantastic – truly amazing performance and portrayal of Jesus. Keep hold of him and get this show back into the West End!!! Tim Minchin also fantastic. Would love to see it again and again. In agreement with others who have commented on CD – would like one with this cast please!!!
I went to see it in Glasgow and thought it was absolutely awesome and Ben u were superb as Jesus (I love u and ur album is superb!). Was good to see Andrew Lloyd Webber at end of bows and admired u from a young age. Hope rest of tour goes well, will be buying DVD and will wear my tour t-shirt with pride. Love and hugs to all xxxxxx <3
The show at Newcastle Arena was brilliant!!!
So moving please release a video
We have just arrived back from the Newcastle show tonight. The performance was spectacular, we all loved it. The singing, setting and production was fantastic, and all so moving. We would gladly see it all again, and are looking forward to the CD of this current cast.
Saw the Newcastle performance last night with 3 friends. It was:-
Powerful
Passionate
Well performed
Moving
Energetic
The cast looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. The songs and performances sent shivers down my spine.
Well done to all involved
Saw the Show in Sheffield on Friday, absolutely brilliant. We are old enough to remember the original film version but thought the current adaption was great. Tim Minchin was great as Judas and Ben Forster as Jesus absolutely blew us away, what a fantastic voice! DVD will be on our Christmas list.
My family and I watched the show on the 28th at Newcastle arena and we were blown away by how brilliant it was. I voted for Ben every night during the search and I felt fully rewarded for it.
I was itching to give him a standing ovation for Gethsemane, so moving! I also cannot praise Tim Minchin enough for his performance, he was magnificent. The rest of the cast were also superb.
I wish I could follow it around the country !
Saw the show on Friday in Newcastle, a full house, fabulous atmosphere. The cast were superb but Tim Minchen stole the show.
Newcastle show was amazing – loved every minute. Very moving, brilliant singing. Well done to all – Tim Minchen what a talented man. Great role for Chris Moyles!
I went to see the show last night a Mancshester. What a Show! From start to finish it just grips you- so cleverly brought to our times. Ben was amazing as Jesus and all the cast crafted their parts which such fabulous detail. Words fail me – a clever masterpeice. But after being blown away by this production , to top it off Sir ALW appeared – wow!
Saw the show at Newcastle Arena. Great show. Hope the DVD can capture the brilliance and energy of the performance. Tim Minchin was outstanding as Judas. Ben Forster and the whole cast were magnificent.
Saw the show last night in Cardiff and it was great. Mel C was fantastic and Chris Moyles was funny! Some of the men were a little shouty that you couldn’t understand what we being sung. There were some technical difficulties which meant it started late and the interval was half an hour long. Also we were disappointed with our seats as when we booked it did not say restricted view (we were on the side balcony) but the big speakers blocked the screen and when the cast were at the top of the stairs on the stage which was a shame.
We watched the show in Cardiff last night, the casts were fantastic, Mel C was average, Chris Moyles was amusing, Ben Forster had a cool tone, Pete Gallagher had a resounding voice. But for us, Tim Minchin brought the story alive from the beginning when he had me close to tears, and I finally tear jerked up during his turmoil of the betrayal. Tim Minchin with a hard rocky voice was truly remarkable. The set up of the show was perfectly timed, I am unsure why the previous person stated there was a 30minute interval, maybe she was at a different show! The issue of seat location was an issue to be taken up with the venue and, or booking agent, but certainly should not take away from the show. As for the late start, again unsure to what the referral was, it is customary in theatres to give the audience enough time to settle down, as nobody would appreciate any distractions from late arrivals or unnecessary scrambling around during a play. Bravo; Brava to the every member of the show, we were sat next to the screen content team and it was fantastic to witness the creativity and resources that make such performances mind blowing.
Saw the show at Birmingham October 4th 2012. Mel C absolutely stole the show in the first half. Her solo was brilliant, she had the whole of the audience spell bound.
The second half undoubtedly belonged to Ben Forster. The whole of the remainder of the cast played brilliant parts, it is not possible to pick out individual parts as the whole show was so good.
Went to the Manchester performance on 30th came home and booked for the 7th! I have never seen such a magnificent performance Tim Minchin was unbelievable as was Ben.Totally Amazeballs
Saw the show at Birmingham October 4th 2012 Absolutely amazing Ben Forster and Tim Minchin stole the show for us; The rest of the cast were all outstanding, a very clever interpretation. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole show would definitely see it again if we could.
Well done to the production team and ALW.
Wow Wow WOw. The cast were amazing! Just back from NIA what a brilliant show. You must go and see this modern production.
My wife and I saw the show at the O2 arena on Sept 22nd. Although we were seated far away and the side screeens were not working, it was an incredible show. It has always been my favourite musical and always will be. I’m not an emotional bloke, but when I hear the songs, they blow me away. The whole concept is a masterpiece, although I prefer the set/version that was seen at the Lyseum theatre. But that still doesn’t detract from the fact, it’s a great show.
I’m kind of hoping it will go up west end eventually, as it will be a hit again. Hoping to see it again before the tour ends.
Belfast last night. I agree with most of what people have said, tim as judas had such feeling and emotion in his performance. Mel c as mary was excellent and brought a very calm influence to the chaotic nature of the show. Ben as jesus played the part well and was controlled enough to not over play his role. Jesus being with his people came through very well, judas panicking because there seemed no plan, mary being the peace maker and transformed as she spent more time with jesus . Very well put together. Enjoyed so much.
Excellent show in Dublin last night. Couldn’t fault it. Production, dancers, singers all on top of their game!
